Hot Soup & Bun

My first impression of the restaurant when it first opened was that it would be any other local cuisine type restaurant serving 'nasi campur' and maybe with a variety of soups; 'sup ekor', 'sup tulang' and the likes, so it took a while for me to try it out. The interior design was nothing to shout about; mirrors along one side of the walls, wood furniture, painted walls - shades of pink and purple tarnished with a bit of dirty streaks, could be due to the chair legs rubbing against the walls when they are put up, a small counter stationed in front of the humble entrance to what may be called the kitchen area. But, I must say, the food was a pleasant surprise. Though the buns turned out to be three slices of bread and not buns, there was quite a variety of soups to choose from, including other items like curry - 'gulai kawah', some western choices and local choices.
